DPP makes ruling in World Wise matter

2013-03-15 17:05:20 | (0 Comments)

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has made a ruling on a file submitted by the Fraud Squad on the operations of the failed investment scheme, World Wise Partners.

DPP Paula Llewellyn gave notice of her ruling in a brief statement to the media this afternoon.

The DPP did not publish details of her ruling instead directing questions to Deputy Superintendent of Police, at the Fraud Squad, Dwight Daley.

The Gleaner/Power 106 has been unable to make contact with DSP Daley as calls to his cellular phone have gone unanswered.

Last October the Fraud Squad submitted findings from its investigation to the DPP.

In 2008 the Financial Services Commission labelled, World Wise Partners an unregulated financial organisation that lured investors with the promise of huge dividends.
