Edwin Allen set to retain title as Calabar battles JC, KC for top spot

Edwin Allen are on course to retain their girls’ title, while Calabar will have to survive a two-pronged attack from Kingston College and Jamaica College going into today’s fifth and final day of the 2013 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Championships at the National Stadium.

After 18 finals scored in the girls’ standings, Edwin Allen are leading with 157-and-a-half points, 39 clear of second place Holmwood Technical on 118-and-a-half, while St Jago hold down third on 88.

And after 17 finals in the boys’ standing, Jamaica College are back in front with 115 points, only two ahead of Kingston College on 113, with defending champion Calabar on 110.

Today’s final day begins at 1:30 p.m. and 49 finals are down to be contested.
