An illegal firearm was seized by the police along Ballater Avenue, in St Andrew yesterday and two men taken into custody.

The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) says the men’s identities are being withheld pending further investigations.

According to the St Andrew Central Police, the men allegedly robbed a man of $650,000 along Ballater Avenue before escaping in a waiting motor vehicle.

The police say the vehicle was later intercepted and during a search, the firearm was discovered.

The Half-Way Tree Police are conducting further investigations.
