NewsCHASE spends $9b on development in Jamaica2013-03-17 11:39:33 | (0 Comments)
The CHASE Fund says in the last 10 years it has disbursed just over $9 billion to finance development projects across Jamaica.
Chief Executive Officer of CHASE, Billy Heaven, says sports accounted for the largest expenditure, with over $3 billion. Early childhood education was next with $2.7 billion, followed by health and arts and culture. Heaven says through its investment in early childhood education, the CHASE Fund has supported the infrastructural development of infant and basic schools. He says this include the construction and upgrading of early childhood resource centres and the provision of required learning tools and equipment.
