Speaker of the House Michael Peart told our news centre last night, that he was assured by Public Defender Earl Witter yesterday that the report isáready.
Peart added that he was also assured that the report will be handed over to him thisámorning.
During the opening sitting of the Standing Finance Committee of Parliament, the House Speaker again recommitted to having the much-anticipated Tivoli report tabled by the end of theámonth.
Peart was left embarrassed in January after he committed to have the report tabled by the end of that month, but that did notámaterialise.
The country has been waiting almost three years for the Tivoliáreport.
The Public Defender has faced strong criticism for his failure to furnish the report, with many calling for his resignation after several missedádeadlines.
However, Witter said the process was being held up by resourceáconstraints.
More than 70 persons were killed in the May 2010 operation by the security forces in TivoliáGardens.
Residents complained of extrajudicial killings and otheráabuses.
