Daviot Kelly, Staff Reporter
The National Education Inspectorate (NEI) has identified the Portmore-based Kensington Primary as the only inspected school operating at 'exceptionally high' standards.
The finding is contained in the just-released NEI report, which assessed 205 schools between September 2011 and March 2012.
The report states that of the 205 schools inspected, 110 were classified as unsatisfactory.
Six schools - five of them primary - were classified as 'good'.
They are Arcadia, Hastings, Southborough Turnberry and Unity Primary schools.
Glenmuir High is the lone high school in the category.
Eighty-three schools were listed as satisfactory and five as needing immediate support.
They five are: Bellevue Primary and Junior High, Lewisville High, Linton Park All-Age, Spanish Town High and Glengoffe High.
