X6 murder trial again pushed back

The long-awaited murder trial of businessman Patrick Powell has again been pushedáback.
The matter was expected to get underway in the Home Circuit Court thisámorning.
However, the trial had to be put off as there was another case beforeáit.
The trial was rescheduled to Novemberá4.
Powell is accused of the 2011 killing of schoolboy KhajeeláMais.
Mais was shot dead on July 1, 2011 when the driver of a BMW X6 reportedly opened fire on the taxi in which he wasátravelling.
Powell went to the United States after theákilling.
He returned days later and surrendered to theápolice.
During the police investigation, he was asked to surrender his licensed firearm for inspection and forensic analysis, but he allegedly refused to doáso.
He was subsequently charged with failing to produce his firearm for inspection andámurder.
The firearm case has been stalled pending the outcome of the murderátrial.
