The DPP has ruled that Corporal David Hutchinson and Constable Kenneth Daley be charged with two counts of murder.
The killings happened in Brooklyn Lane, Thompson Pen, Spanish Town, St Catherine on Friday August 13, 2010.
The DPP also recommended that the matter be committed directly to the Home Circuit Court, by way of a Voluntary Bill of Indictment.
The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) says to facilitate this, the ruling has been sent to the Bureau of Special Investigations so that the arrest and charging of the police officers may be done in the parish of Kingston.
The two policemen will appear before the Home Circuit Court to answer to the charges this morning.
INDECOM says the investigation was completed in January 2013 and the file sent to the DPP for her consideration on January 8, 2013.
The Commission received the ruling on June 17, 2013.
