Motorcyclist killed near Jamaica House

A motorcyclist was killed this morning in the vicinity of Jamaica House on Hope Road, Kingston, after his motorbike collided with a Toyota Corolla.

The rider has been identified as 42-year-old Moreton Chin.
The incident occurred about 8:30 a.m.
The police say, reports suggest Chin was riding his motorbike towards Half-Way Tree when he overtook a car and hit the Toyota Corolla which was heading in the opposite direction.
The motorbike reportedly flipped and landed several metres away.
Chin reportedly died on the spot.
The Half-Way Tree police and personnel from the Police Traffic Division are continuing investigations as eyewitness reports on the incident are conflicting.
