BASKETBALL: Jamaica target first FIBA victory today

Jamaica’s men basketball team will go in search of its first victory when the 2013 International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Americas Championships in Venezuela resumes today.
The Jamaicans, who are without a point from two Group 'A' games, will face Puerto Rico in their third game today.
The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
Jamaica suffered a second consecutive defeat on Saturday with a 68-66 loss to Uruguay.
That was an improved performance by the Jamaicans who had lost 85-64 to Canada on the opening day of the championships.
Puerto Rico got off the mark on the opening day with a 72-65 victory over Brazil.
In another Group 'A' game today, Uruguay will play Brazil.
There are also two Group ‘B’ games scheduled for today.
Those games are – Dominican Republic against Mexico and Argentina playing host nation Venezuela.
The championships will qualify four teams to the 2014 FIBA World Championships in Spain.
Ten teams divided into two groups are contesting the championships.
