Civil society group wants clarity on plans for juvenile girls, pleased with relocation

Civil society group Stand Up for Jamaica has commended the government on the relocation of juvenile girls from adult facilities.
The group on the other hand has voiced their dissatisfaction with the level of disclosure about the move of the girls and the plans for them at the new facility.
The group wants to know why the girls from the Diamond Crest facility as it was already a juvenile only facility.
What rehabilitation plan is in place for them?
What is the status of the girls deemed uncontrollable?
And whether there are any plans in place to deal with those who are in custody for care and protection?
The group has highlighted their willingness to join the discussion as to how best to deal with the girls, and their readiness to participate in any action to be taken.
