Daryl Vaz - File
The West Portland MP, who last appeared in court on June 11, has been charged with breaching the Corruption Prevention Act.
He was among three noted Jamaicans charged in relation to the April 2012 incident.
Businessman David 'Bruce' Bicknell and Senior Superintendent of Police James Forbes are charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice arising from an incident in Kingston last April when the businessman was stopped by a traffic cop.
It is alleged that the businessman attempted to bribe Sergeant Jubert Llewellyn after being issued a speeding ticket and that the high-ranking officer and West Portland Member of Parliament Daryl Vaz made attempts to have Bicknell absolved.
The trial of the Bicknell and Forbes has been ongoing.
Vaz has denied any wrong-doing.
