The Health Ministry has confirmed that three cases of tuberculosis were diagnosed among inmates at the Kingston Central police lockup in July.
This brings to seven, the number of cases identified at police lockups in Kingston since January.
But Director of Communications in the Health Ministry, Neville Graham is stressing that there is no outbreak.
He says the cases did not originate at the facility but in the communities from which the inmates originated.
Graham says investigations in accordance with standard protocols are ongoing.
The inmates have been isolated and are still receiving treatment.
