The Studentsí Loan Bureau (SLB) says it is on track to meet its financial obligations for the 2013-2014 academic year.
The Bureau says while it has not started the disbursement of funds to tertiary level students, it should be able to find the $4.2 billion needed to meet the demand for loans.
Public relations manager at the SLB Analisa Downes-Allen says the Bureau is in the process of accessing funds from the Education Tax and has also begun the draw down of funds from the Caribbean Development Bank.
Downes-Allen says student will receive funding once they have completed the application process.
The public relations manager is encouraging persons who have already benefited from loans to make their repayments so that other students may be able to receive funding.
The SLB currently funds 30 per cent of tertiary-level education and has seen an increase in demand for loans in recent years.
