Falmouth constable dies while pursuing motorist

A policeman has succumbed to injuries he received in an accident while pursuing a motorist this morning on Duke Street in Falmouth.
He is Constable Omar Elliott.
Eyewitnesses allege that the policeman, who was aboard a motorcycle, was in pursuit of a motorist when he attempted to overtake a vehicle and crashed about 8 o’clock this morning.
Constable Elliot sustained head injuries and was taken to the Falmouth Hospital then later transferred to the Cornwall Regional Hospital.
He died about midday.
