Transport Minister Dr Omar Davies says a study on the Goat Islands should be completed by the end of September.
The Goat Islands is the site preferred by Chinese investors for development of the Logistics Hub.
Speaking during the Jamaica House Press Briefing this morning, Davies explained that the study has already begun and should be completed by the end of the month.
Davies told journalists yesterday that the Port Authority of Jamaica commissioned study will be used to inform how the agency and the Chinese investors proceed on the project.
He says a Cabinet decision will be made shortly after the completion of the study on the use of the Goat Islands which will among other things, seek to determine the geographic boundaries of the Portland Bight Area.
Davies also explained that the Government is the owner of the Goat Islands as it has the title.
