Ousted Mayor of Morant Bay Councillor Marsha Francis-Johnson says she will support the new leadership of the St Thomas Parish Council.
Francis-Johnson says she has always been a team player, adding that she will be vigorously representing the communities in her Cedar Valley Division.
The Council today passed a vote of no confidence removing her as Chairman and Mayor.
The motion was carried by a vote of six to one.
The three Jamaica Labour Party councillors abstained from the vote.
PNP councillor Constantine Bogle, who moved the no confidence motion, said arrogance and high-handedness on the part of the Mayor was preventing the Council from carrying out its mandate.
However, Francis-Johnson dismissed the accusations saying they are without basis adding that Bogle was being mischievous.
Councillor Ludlow Mathison, who was the Deputy Mayor, has taken over the chairmanship of the Council.
