FOOTBALL: Defending champions go in search of second victory as Manning Cup resumes

Defending champions St George's College will go in search of their second straight victory when the urban-area ISSA/LIME Manning Cup football competition resumes today with eight matches across the groups.
The North Street-based school will play away to Donald Quarrie at the Bull Bay Complex in their third Group 'D' matches.
St George's College secured their first victory of the season on Friday by whipping Oberlin 8-1. That victory came six days after they battled to a 2-all draw against Camperdown in the opening match of the season in Montego Bay.
Donald Quarrie are bottom of the six-team table without a point from two games.
The group also features Charlie Smith against Camperdown at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex and Vauxhall hosting Oberlin.
Wolmer's High will also be in action today .
The Wolmerians, who are leading Group ‘C’ with maximum six points, will host Clan Carthy at Heroes Circle.
In the group’s other games, second place Denham Town who have also won both their games, will play away to fourth place Papine; and bottom-place team Kingston Technical will host third place St Catherine.
The remaining games are from Group ‘F’. Those matches are Greater Portmore against Spanish Town and Penwood facing Eltham High.
All matches are scheduled to start at 3:30 in the afternoon.
No games are scheduled for today in the rural-area daCosta Cup.
