UPDATE: Child injured in JUTC bus accident, driver now being questioned

A bus driver employed to the State-owned Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) is now being questioned by the Half Way Tree Police following an accident that left a child critically injured.
The accident involving this JUTC bus and a child happened along the Marescaux Road today. - Gladstone Taylor/ Photographer
The accident happened close to Wolmer's High School along Marescaux Road, in St Andrew, a short while ago.
The child has been taken to hospital by a passing motorist with police escort.
The driver of the packed bus had reportedly fled the scene.
