NETBALL: Fast5 squad for World Series in Auckland selected

The Jamaica Netball Association has included five national Under-21 players in the Sunshine Girls squad for the 2013 Fast5 World Series in Auckland, New Zealand from November 8-10.
The Under-21 players selected in the 10-member squad are Shamera Sterling, Vangelee Williams, Shanice Beckford, Khadijah Williams and Thristina Harwood.
Romelda Aiken and Jhaniele Fowler, who play in the ANZ Championship in Australia and New Zealand, are among the senior players selected.
Aikens, who is contracted to the Queensland Firebirds in the ANZ Championships, and Malysha Kelly have been selected as co-captains.
The other members of the squad are Venessa Walker and Paula Thompson
Fast5 is a time-reduced, five-a-side game features unique rules such rolling substitutions, power plays and three-point shots.
The teams competing are Jamaica, New Zealand, England, South Africa, Australia and Malawi.
Defending champions New Zealand have won the tournament three out of four times since it was first contested in 2009.
The Jamaican delegation including head coach Oberon Pitterson-Nattie is scheduled to depart for Auckland on November 2.
