Jamaican left arm pacer Sheldon Cotterell is to undergo a medical examination on Wednesday, which would decide if he travels with the West Indies side for the upcoming tour of India.
Cotterell, the lone newcomer selected to the regional side, says he is looking forward to having the injury assessed.
Cotterell twisted his knee during training for the West Indies ‘A’ team ahead of the current one-day and Twenty20 series in India, and was sent home for treatment.
The 24-year-old, who has in recent years been making an impression in regional tournaments, was recently selected to West Indies' 15-man squad for their upcoming tour of India.
West Indies are down to play two Tests and three One-Day Internationals while on tour of India.
The first Test is set begin on November 6 while the second Test is scheduled to start on November 14.
The three One-Day Internationals will be played on November 21, 24 and 27.
