The National Water Commission (NWC) said it disconnected 613 illegal water supplies during operations carried out in September.
Thirty-nine persons were prosecuted for trespassing on the works of the NWC.
According to the NWC, this brings to a total of 10,372 the number of disconnections and prosecutions islandwide since January 2013.
The most recent operations conducted during September were concentrated in the parishes of St Catherine, Kingston and St Andrew, St James, Westmoreland and Hanover.
The latest activities are part of the NWC’s continued drive to collect outstanding sums and remove illegal connections.
The company says delinquency and theft rob the commission of much needed resources to satisfy paying customers.
