St Ann's Bay hospital returns to normal operation
2013-11-03 11:42:11 | (0 Comments)
Normality has returned to the St Annís Bay hospital.
This follows a meeting yesterday at the Ministry of Labour between the hospitalís management and ancillary workers. The workers walked off the job on Friday forcing the hospital to activate its contingency measures.
According to the hospitalís management, the industrial action stems from efforts by the workers to force the reinstatement of one of their colleagues who was recently reassigned.
Director of communications at the Ministry of Health, Neville Graham, says the decision to reassign the worker remains in place, but adds that both sides have agreed to meet again on November 18.
