Trough across Jamaica and the central Caribbean

Hurricane Dorian has induced a trough across Jamaica. This trough weakens early on Friday, thereafter, a high pressure ridge will build across the island and linger into the weekend.

Hurricane Dorian, currently across the Atlantic waters is expected to move east of the southeastern and central Bahamas today into Friday
wind maximum sustained near 140 km/h, with higher gusts. Dorian is expected to become a Major Hurricane on Friday.

Hurricane Dorian is not a threat to Jamaica.

This Afternoon - Showers and isolated thunderstorms across sections of most parishes, otherwise partly cloudy.
Tonight - Becoming fair.

Maximum temperature expected for Montego Bay today 33 degrees Celsius.

Friday: Partly cloudy morning across eastern parishes. Partly cloudy afternoon with possible late evening/night showers across sections of eastern and south-central parishes.

Saturday: Partly cloudy morning across eastern parishes. Possible isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms mainly across sections of northwestern parishes, partly cloudy elsewhere.

Sunday: Partly cloudy morning across sections of northern parishes. Afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms across sections of central and western parishes.
