Investigators are probing a double murder in Dias, Hanover this morning.

The police say 45-year-old Lynford Richie, a taxi operator was sleeping at his house about 12:30 when he heard explosions coming from outside.

They say he jumped through a window in his bid to escape but was shot.

Forty-one year old carpenter Godfrey Cunningham was killed minutes before while playing dominoes on Richie’s veranda.

A man and woman were also injured.

The police say the robbers had demanded money but started shooting before anyone was able to respond
