Yummy Bakery has partnered with Royale Computers in a school essay competition.

The competition is opened to two age categories 8 to 12 and 13 to 18; students are asked to write on the topic” over the past 50 years who are the 3 most influential Jamaican citizens’?

Entry forms and rules with guidelines can be collected from schools across the island, Baking Enterprises corporate offices at 8 St. Lucia Avenue or any one of the companies 3 agencies located in Mandeville, St. Ann’s Bay or Montego Bay.

Some of the criteria for the essay are: it must be properly structured with a clear introduction, body and conclusion, full development of ideas and good organization with clear expression of use of English. There should also evidence of research and knowledge of the individuals selected. The discussion should have at least four good reasons why the individuals were chosen.

The main prizes in both categories will be iPad tablet computers and the runners up will win Titan tablet computers. The schools with the winners will get a computer and printer and the schools with the runners up will get a computer.

 The competition will close on November 30 and the winners will be notified by the first week in December.
