U.S. Embassy Kingston welcomes new Regional Security Officer, Vincent Cooper

On Thursday, September 21, 2012, members of the local security forces and security officials from Diplomatic missions to Jamaica attended the U.S. Embassy, Kingston’s welcome reception for its new Regional Security Officer, Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Vincent Cooper, at the Embassy’s Old Hope Road headquarters.

 SSA Cooper is a career member of the Foreign Service (2005) and assumed the position of Regional Security Officer, Supervisory Special Agent to the United States Embassy, Kingston in August, 2012.

Attendees were welcomed by Chargé d' Affaires, Dr. Raymond Brown, who spoke on SSA Cooper’s impressive service record to the U.S mission. Specially invited guests included Regional Security Manager, Russel Middleton, British High Commission, Security Attaché, Kenji Iwase, Japanese Embassy, Superintendent Cornwall Ford, Senior Superintendent Kevin Blake, Director, National Intelligence Bureau, Peter Hall, Security Manager, Sangster’s International Airport, and Woman Inspector, Cheree Greaves, of the Grants Pen Police Community.

 Guests were fêted by award winning chefs George Matthews and Nicholas Beckford, personal chefs to U.S. Ambassador Pamela Bridgewater and Deputy Chief of Mission Dr. Raymond Brown respectively.
