Increase in patient load at St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital

The St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital has seen an increase in patient numbers mainly due to seasonal illnesses affecting individuals island wide.

 We take this opportunity to advise the public that based on our increased patient load; they should expect increased waiting times for accessing some services as well as reduced visitation times and number of visitors allowed on the affected wards.

 We also urge persons with non-urgent conditions to visit their nearest Health Centres as a large number of health issues can be effectively managed in these facilities.

 Additionally, to better serve our clients we have extended opening hours at the St. Ann’s Bay and Ocho Rios Health Centres.

 The extended hours effective October 18th to November 2, 2012 are as follows:

 St. Ann’s Bay Health Centre:

·         Mondays- Fridays – 4pm – 8pm

·         Saturdays and Sundays – 8am – 4pm

 Ocho Rios Health Centre:

·         Mondays – Fridays: 4pm – 8pm

·         Saturdays: 8am – 4pm
