LIME Offers Free ‘Family Minutes’ to Call Loved Ones Affected by 'Sandy'

LIME | 2012-10-31 11:11:00

LIME, the network that keeps the Caribbean connected, has extended a hand of kindness to its customers by giving away free talk time to those who wish to connect with loved ones affected by hurricane Sandy in the US.

In a swift response to the natural disaster, the company is offering its Postpaid residential landline customers ‘15-family minutes’ free today (October 31) from 12 this afternoon to midnight.

During these hours LIME customers across the region can use these ‘family minutes’ on one call or on several calls totaling fifteen minutes to call relatives and friends in the US who are affected by the passage of Hurricane Sandy.

Managing Director, LIME Jamaica and Cayman, Garry Sinclair, said, " The Caribbean has a large diaspora base in the US and particularly the States affected by Sandy.   So we are very happy to offer this special ‘connection moment’ to our customers which we feel will go a far way in helping them to cope with the terrifying effects of the storm.  The people affected are in our thoughts and prayers".

Meanwhile, LIME is now able to focus even more of its resources on the eastern end of the island badly-affected by Hurricane Sandy, having made significant improvements in service restoration to the rest of the country. The company's technicians have been working to steadily restore landline, Internet and mobile coverage to pre-Hurricane levels.
