Government of Mexico waives visa requirements for Jamaican nationals

The Embassy of Mexico in Jamaica is pleased to inform that the Government of Mexico has decided to waive the Visa/Consular Stamp requirement for Jamaican nationals as of November, 2012.

The aforementioned provision applies to Jamaicans travelling to Mexico as visitors, without authorization to engage in profitable activities, for up to 180 days. This will allow Jamaican nationals to carry out activities in Mexico such as tourism, sports, business, medical treatments, attending conferences, among others.

Travellers within the abovementioned category are only required to present a valid Jamaican passport to travel to Mexico. As usual, at the time of admission Immigration

Authorities may request documents related to the purpose of travel. Additionally, kindly be advised that individuals wishing to study for more than six months establish temporary or permanent residence in Mexico, or engage in profitable activities should contact the Embassy to obtain requirements for visa.
