The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that it will be carrying out maintenance and improvement works on one of its major corporate area water supply systems under the Kingston Water and Sanitation Project.  Accordingly, the Mona Water Treatment Plant will be taken out of operation on Thursday, December 20, 2012 between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Areas that will be affected include:  Mona, Mona Road, Liguanea, Cross Roads, Mountain View, Old Hope Road, Devon Square, Waterloo Road, Half-Way-Tree Road, Maxfield Avenue, New Kingston, Ravina, Pines of Karachi, Hagley Park Road, Harbour View,  Shooters Hill and Sections of Downtown Kingston

The National Water Commission sincerely regrets any inconvenience these necessary works may cause.  The company is also assuring that every effort will be made to restore normal water supply within the time specified.
