DEKAL Wireless’ celebrates life, love, rehabilitation and festive fun with Santa and the people of Portland.
Santa Claus has established a relationship with DEKAL Wireless and the children of Portland. In the spirit of a rural Christmas and on the heels of Hurricane Sandy’s devastation and the tragedy in Connecticut, the national chain is hosting its third instalment of “Santa’s Treat” for the children of Portland.
DEKAL’s “Santa’s Treat” will take place on December 20th in the Port Antonio Square and has already attracted over one thousand (1000) children and their parents in the area.
This effort and event is a natural extension of the technology giant’s brand and its commitment to building the communities in which it operates and more importantly the community in which it was birthed. DEKAL Wireless had its beginnings in Portland over 3 years ago. As a first of its kind globally and island-wide, – the DEKAL family honours and understands the concept that investing in quality programs that touch the lives of those that support its business the most, is key.
As a power brand, DEKAL invests heavily in its surrounding communities, providing opportunity, employment but also by allowing those less fortunate and those in rural areas, like Portland, to have the same online access as those in city areas through its SuperWiFi technology for a nominal fee.
Jamaica has embraced DEKAL and our technology offering since its inception and we thank our customers dearly for that. Without the support of the people there would be no SuperWiFi. While we are still a growing company we like the idea that at least once per year we can host a special treat for the children to renew the spirit of Christmas. We intend to expand the treat to additional areas in the years to come to bring a smile not only to the children of Portland but across the island. David Lee – CEO.
