Broken pipe disrupts supply to sections of Hanover and Westmoreland

National Water Commission | 2013-01-07 00:00:00

The National Water Commission (NWC) apologies to its valued customers in sections of Hanover and Westmoreland, for the water disruption they continue to experience.

As outlined in previous advisories, the break in service is due to a broken 18 inch pipeline in Orange Bay, Hanover.

While the NWC had anticipated completing the repairs on Sunday, January 6, 2013, it was unable to meet that deadline due to the extensive work required. The NWC is assuring customers that the operations team is working fervently to complete the repairs and restore water by 04:00 pm today.

Areas affected include Lucea, Green Island, Orange Bay, Logwood, Green Island, March Town, Cove, Lances Bay, Esher, Cauldwell, Pell River, Kingsvale, Haughton Court, Archwell, Westland Mountain, West End, Orange Hill, Mt Airy and surrounding areas.

The NWC regrets the inconvenience caused and craves the continued patience of its valued customers.
