Rise received funding from the European Union to carry out the Community Upliftment and Human Rights Awareness Project. This project will see Rise undertaking a number of activities aimed to inform and address issues relating to human rights awareness as well as community upliftment in 6 inner city communities across Kingston and St Andrew. In particular the project will undertake a series of interventions, most notably, the Rise Parenting College in the community of Majestic Gardens.
Rise will launch the project in Majestic Gardens on January 23, 2012. This launch intends to bring together a variety of stakeholders representing community members, civil society agencies, Government agencies and community residents under the umbrella of the Rise Parenting College.
