Under the patronage of Mr. Don Wehby, Group Chief Executive Officer of GraceKennedy Limited, the Immaculate Conception High School will stage its inaugural Hall of Fame banquet on March 23rd at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

“It is my great honour to be associated with this historic event which will honour outstanding women who have gone on to make a strong and meaningful impact in Jamaica and indeed the world,’ stated Mr. Wehby.

The inductees this year are:
•    Sr. Maureen Clare Hall, OSF –  for Education
•    Sr. Grace Yap, OSF – for Volunteerism and Social Services
•    Miss Lisa Narcisse - posthumously – for Music and the arts
•    Mrs. Thalia (Chang) Lyn – for Business
•    Dr. Mary Ann (Brown) Chambers – for Politics
•    Dr. Dorothy Anna (Figueroa) Jarvis – for Medicine

In this inaugural year, the event will herald the theme 'learn, lead, lift’.
According to President of the ICHS Alumnae Association Jamaica Chapter, Angela Patterson, “We are mindful of the next generation of citizens which ICHS will produce, and their diverse requirements for a sound education.   The Hall of Fame pays tribute to and honours the learning that takes place at ICHS, the women who go on to lead remarkable lives and the inevitable mentoring and leadership that lifts the next generation of leaders.”

She further stated, “we are delighted that Mr. Wehby agreed to be our patron…in fact, his mother and his sister are part of the ICHS family.”

The event will also raise funds for bright, aspiring students as well as the school’s infrastructure needs.
Immaculate Conception High School has been a leading and well-respected educational institution in Jamaica for over 150 years and is known worldwide.  Its committed faculty have educated thousands of young women in Jamaica and from around the world over the years who have gone on to make an indelible mark in their respective fields.
Lead sponsor for the event is GraceKennedy Group Limited.

“All our educational institutions need a hand up and oftentimes are able to function because of the generosity of past students  and friends…and what better way to assist the next generation…by honouring the past stalwarts, says Mr. Wehby.
