Gore Developments Limited will be hosting a Free Open House on Saturday, March 2nd at its Florence Hall Village development in Falmouth, Trelawny from 10am-3pm.

Gore is once again partnering with seven lending institutions including: NHT, JNBS, VMBS, NCB, CIBC First Caribbean, SCOTIA, RBC, and SAGICOR. Each institution will have loan officers at the event where attendees will receive detailed need assessments and immediate, personalized financial information pertaining to mortgages.

Partnering lending institutions express immense support for the initiative as a unique approach to exposing prospective home buyers to their options for financial assistance, and encourage persons residing on the North Coast or interested in acquiring property in that region, to come to the event for the wealth of knowledge accessible from having all seven leading institutions on hand in one venue. Attendees can also tour the two model units and view the lots available for purchase.

According to Joanne Padgett Marketing and Sales Coordinator for Gore Developments Ltd., "the Open House gives persons an opportunity find out about the many options that are available to them and help them to choose a lending institution who can qualify them to move forward with a home purchase."

The Loan Officers will provide detailed information to attendees including the amount they are eligible to borrow and what the monthly mortgage payment will be. This is calculated by an examination of each individual's income, debt and assets. This process, referred to as pre-qualification, assists attendees in determining the price range of homes they can afford to buy.

Gore's home ownership education thrust began in 2010 with seminars being held across Jamaica, as well as overseas for Jamaicans living in the USA, Canada, Cayman and England.

Gore homes are currently being sold in St. Catherine and Trelawny at their New Harbour Village II and Florence Hall developments, with prices ranging from $6.6-million to $8.4-million respectively. The affordable two bedroom units have proven ideal for young, first-time home owners, as well as investment buyers and retirees as the properties have a track record of being solid investments with significant annual value appreciation. The units are also situated on large lots which allow for easy home expansion.

Having brought affordable housing to thousands of Jamaicans over the last 30 years, Gore believes that knowledge is key to empowering Jamaicans to own their own homes, and is committed to continuing to facilitate information-sharing through events like these. The Open House will be held rain or shine and all are welcome. Gore is in the final Phases of its 800+ home development at Florence Hall with less than 100 homes left to sell.
