People’s National Party launches 75th Anniversary Committee

The People’s National Party will this evening launch its Diamond Anniversary activities at a Press Mingle and Social at the Devonshire Restaurant in Kingston.

The evening’s activities will include presentations by the Co-Chairs of the 75th Anniversary Committee, the Most Honourable Portia Simpson Miller, Prime Minister of Jamaica and Party President and the Most Honourable Percival Patterson.

The mandate of the Committee is to design and implement specific programmes and activities throughout the year which appropriately honour the history of the Party, celebrating its achievements on behalf of the people of Jamaica and the world at large while channelling the Party’s rich heritage in the modern mission to continue to secure and achieve Jamaica’s development in the modern era.

It is expected that these activities will be spread across the year and will include lectures, symposia, religious activities, press engagements, cultural recitals and similar functions across the island and elsewhere throughout the Diaspora.

This evening’s activities at the Devonshire Restaurant, Devon House in Kingston is expected to begin at 6:00pm.
