TAJ promotes health and wellness for customers and staff

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) | 2013-05-14 00:00:00

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) will be hosting the second in a series of Health and Wellness Fairs under the theme “Healthy Mind, Body, Spirit: Taking Care of the Total You” at Montego Bay Pier 1, on Thursday May 16, 2013 starting at 10:30 am. This initiative is part of the Administration’s effort to promote not only the importance of tax, but also the business of personal health and wellness to customers and staff.

Several entities, such as Jamaica Civil Service Association, Bank of Nova Scotia, LIME, Caribbean Producers Jamaica Ltd, Wisynco, Yolo Nutri-Centre, Registrar General’s Department, and Option Cosmetics, will be partnering with TAJ in staging this event. Representatives from these organisations will be on hand to share information and their services.

This new approach has been adopted, as TAJ has placed a premium on the wellbeing of both its internal and external clients. As a result, the tax authority continues to add value to its customer service experience by taking a wholistic approach to the business of tax collection, by sharing healthy lifestyle information and services to its customers. In this regard, customers will be reminded that there are several options available to them to better manage the current economic climate.

The first in the TAJ’s Health and Wellness Expo series was held in May Pen in February of this year. Positive feedback was received from the scores of participants who attended the event.
