SPF weekend gets St. Ann Chamber Of Commerce approval

This Independence Weekend, August 2-6, partygoers can look out for the Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum & Appleton Jamaica Rum sponsored SPF Weekend, in St. Ann.

Oral Heaven, President of the St. Ann Chamber of Commerce, has expressed the Chamber’s support for this year’s SPF Weekend.

“SPF Weekend, and its main sponsors Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum and Appleton Jamaica Rum, I believe, will bring a responsible entertainment platform, that will create an atmosphere in the parish of St Ann where persons over the age of 18 can come out and enjoy themselves.”

 Mr. Heaven continued that, “We are fully cognizant of the harsh economic times being experienced today. The people of St. Ann, and in particular, Ocho Rios, welcome the increase in activities that will benefit the business community and the citizenry of the parish, as a result of SPF Weekend.”

Cecil Smith, Marketing Manager for Owned Brands at J. Wray & Nephew Limited, has stated that the brand’s sponsorship of SPF Weekend will be create a boost to the parish of St. Ann. “We expect that Vendors, hoteliers, restaurant operators, and other businesses in St. Ann, will receive an economic boost from the persons who are expected to attend the Appleton sponsored SPF Weekend.”

SPF Weekend 2013, presented by Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum and Appleton Jamaica Rum, will kick off on Friday August 2 with an afternoon SPF Catamaran Cruise departing the pier at the Jewel Resort, and will continue that evening with BNM: Eye Candy at Cary Island.  

On Saturday the festivities continue in the afternoon with the SPF Pool Party at the Jewel Resort and will end with Fiction Beach at Mammee Bay Beach Club.  Soiree SPF-04 will be the headline offering on Sunday, and the SPF patrons will celebrate the closing of a successful weekend with a champagne beach bar-b-que – SPF Bubbles BBQ at the Beach at the Jewel Resort.
