PSOJ President Chris Zacca announces that he won’t be seeking re-election

The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica | 2014-12-05 00:00:00

The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) yesterday held its 26th Annual General Meeting at the Knutsford Court Hotel. Members elected 20 companies, 25 associations and 5 individuals to serve for a two year period on the organisation’s 50 member Council. As the governing body, the Council sets the Organisation's policies and elects each year from amongst its members, the President and the Executive Committee.

Citing his belief that leaders should make room for renewal within any organisation, current President Christopher Zacca, announced that he would not be seeking re-election at the next Council Meeting on December 18, after having served a total of 5 years as President from 2006-2009 and 2012-2014. Members in attendance used the opportunity to thank the President for his service and outstanding performance over the years, with many expressing the view that he worked hard to keep the organisation at the forefront of the country’s advocacy groups.
