Water disruption affects sections of St.Ann & ST.James

The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising that operations at the Claremont facility have been suspended due to electrical problems.

Customers in Claremont, Steerfield, Orange Park, Golden Grove, Alderton, Lydford Housing Scheme and Rural Retreat are therefore experiencing a disruption in their regular water supply.   

The NWC assures customers served by this facility that every effort is being made to complete the necessary repairs by Saturday, April 14, 2012.

Also, the Clarke’s Town system in Trelawny will be shut down on Sunday, April 15, 2012, between the hours of 09:00 a.m. and 02:00 p.m. to facilitate pipeline replacement work.

The areas that will be impacted include: Clarke’s Town, Duncans, Duncans Hill, Hyde, Kinloss, Crawle, Gibraltar, Georgia, Logwood Walk and Long Pond Housing Scheme.

The NWC apologizes for any inconvenience caused and craves the understanding of its valued customers.
