As major sponsors of EXPO Jamaica 2012, telecoms giants LIME will be putting on an impressive show for both its corporate and retail customers at the highly anticipated event.
Being held under the theme “Brand Jamaica to the World”, the four-day extravaganza is scheduled for April 26 – 29, 2012 at the National Arena in Kingston. A joint initiative of the Jamaica Manufacturers’ Association (JMA) and the Jamaica Exporters Association (JEA), EXPO Jamaica is staged to showcase the products and services of local manufacturers, exporters and producers.
As Jamaica’s only full service telecommunications provider, LIME will be supplying technology services to all of the exhibitors and other participants; including wireless internet and telephone service at the event venue. In the run-up to the event, the company has also been providing various services for the EXPO secretariat including Closed User Group (CUG) mobile service and Internet connectivity.
Always a crowd pleaser, LIME is set to impress with an eye-catching display at EXPO 2012. The telecoms company will be mounting a multi-facetted booth which will showcase its wide range of products and services for both businesses and consumers. The products on display will include popular mobile data devices such as the phenomenal iPad, the versatile Samsung Galaxy Tab and the in-demand iPhone 4S. Consumers will be able to see and experience the feature-rich devices up-close.
Not to be left out, Business Customers will be able to enjoy informative demos of LIME’s business solutions and enterprise communications systems. Among the solutions to be highlighted are LIME’s Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network, a high bandwidth IP data network targeted at businesses and Business VPN service, a solution that gives organisations remote access to their company network from any location. LIME will also be staging demos of Virtual Office, an IP telephony system that provides voice and wireless internet service and Desktop video conferencing.
“As the country’s only full service telecoms company, we provide the technological backbone that supports business in Jamaica and at EXPO 2012 we’ll be showing local companies how LIME can make the latest technology translate into greater productivity,” said Garry Sinclair, LIME’s Managing Director for Jamaica & Cayman.
“We strongly believe in aligning our brand with initiatives that are good for Jamaica and so EXPO is a natural fit for us because not only is it beneficial to our country, it also showcases the best of what our local companies can offer the world,” he added.
