Hypocritical PNPYO complicit in Health Cover-up says G2K

Generation 2000 (G2K), the young professional affiliate of the Jamaica Labour Party has come out swinging in response to reports in the media that the People’s National Party youth arm, PNPYO, has taken issue with the Leader of the Opposition disclosing the current state of Jamaica’s Public Hospitals by positing evidence of the conditions on social media.

When Dr. Ferguson refused to supply the information about the deadly bacterial outbreaks the PNPYO’s silence was deafening. Then in an attempt to cover-up and obfuscate, the PNPYO accused the JLP of politicizing healthcare when it was pressed for full disclosure of the damming health audit. In fact, it leads Generation 2000 to the conclusion that YO was in support of the PNP Cabinet which sought to hide the report from the Nation.

“The PNPYO has absolutely no moral authority with regards to the state of healthcare in Jamaica. In fact, they are complicit in the cover-up of the bacterial outbreaks and the suppression of the health audit. As the Leader of the Opposition, it is Mr. Holness’ responsibility to supply the public with information that they can use to make informed decisions about their own lives and those of their loved ones. The PNPYO should be ashamed of their politically clouded and hypocritical responses to the current healthcare crisis and continued attempts to hoodwink the people of Jamaica", said Matthew Samuda, President of G2K.
