EMERGENCY REPAIR WORK AT GREAT RIVER TREATMENT PLANT
…SECTIONS OF ST. JAMES & HANOVER TO BE AFFECTED
The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising that one of the intake pumps at the Great River Treatment Plant will be out of operation from Friday, June 08 through to Monday, June 11, 2012 to facilitate emergency repairs. As a result, customers in St. James and Hanover, who are served by this system, may experience a disruption in their water supply.
Areas that may be affected in St. James include: Catherine Hall, West Green, Felicity, Mango Walk, Glendevon, Salt Spring, Brandon Hill, Rosemount, Paradise Acres, Norwood, Cornwall Courts, Rose Heights, Farm Heights, Sun Valley Road, Rectory Drive, Salem, Catherine Mount, Albion, Reading Heights, Anchovy, Childermas, Lethe, sections of Comfort Hall, Wiltshire, Guava Walk, Spring Gardens, Belmont, Tower Hill, Moy Hall, Unity Hall, Rosehall, Coral Gardens and Ironshore.
In Hanover, the areas that may be affected include: Water Cress, Sandy Bay Proper, Sandy Bay Housing Scheme, Richmond, Blenheim, Dias, Williamsfield, Mount Piece, Clifton, Greenland, Cacoon, Montpelier, Lookout, Seaview, Bamboo, Orchard Gardens, McQuarrie, Camp Road, Zion, Bushland and Hopewell Bush.
The NWC apologizes for any inconvenience this break in service may cause and encourages customers to store water for use during the scheduled down-time.
The NWC craves the understanding of its valued customers and will make every effort to complete the repairs within schedule.
