The National Water Commission wishes to advise customers in sections of St. Catherine who are served by the Nutshell & Ewarton relift stations that the disruption they are experiencing in their water supply is due to operational challenges at these facilities.

The company is reporting that every effort is being made to resolve these challenges at the earliest possible time.

Areas affected include:

Ewarton, sections of Mt. Rosser, Waterloo, Bennett Shop, Old Mt Diablo, Leslie Road, Cassava Pond, Lluidas Vale Main Road, Charlton Housing Scheme, Polly Ground, Cotton Piece, Charliemount Housing Scheme, White House Housing Scheme and Orangefield Village.

The Commission is also advising customers in Upperfort A & B, Johnson Hill, Edge Hill, Hellshire Hills, Cave Hill, Hillshire Glades, Seaforth and Sand Hill in St. Catherine that the Braeton Relift Station which supplies water to their community is out of operation due to mechanical problems.  The repair works have been started and the system is expected back in operation by Thursday, June 28, 2012.

In the meantime, customers in sections of Clarendon in the vicinity of Canoe Valley to New Longsville are being advised that they will have no water tomorrow, Wednesday, June 27, 2012 between 8:00am and 3:00pm.  This interruption in service is to facilitate repairs to a broken 4 inch main at the New Longsville Reservoir.

The National Water Commission sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused.
