NWC customers who are served by the Osbourne Street Relift, Liberty and Harrison Town Pumping Stations in St Ann are without their water supply, as a result of electrical challenges affecting operations at these facilities.
Areas impacted include: Osbourne Street, sections of Lime Bottom Liberty, Tanglewood, Roadside, Lewis Banks, Harrison Town, lower sections of Breadnut Hill and Pyramid Heights.
Customers can expect restoration of their piped water supply as soon as repairs are completed.
Meanwhile, the Commission is reporting that the Kellits Pumping Station in Clarendon has been taken out of operation, due to high turbidity (muddy water) affecting inflows from the supply source.
Affected areas include: Kellits, Crofts Hill, Good Hope, Tait, Pedro, Rhoden Hall, Guava Ground, Hickery, Comsie and Jericho.
In the meantime, the Fairy Hill Well and the Drapers Pumping Stations are presently out of operation as a result of electrical and mechanical challenges at these facilities.
Customers in Fairy Hill, Dragon Bay, Sherwood Forrest, Boston, Fair Hill Housing Scheme, Friendship, Castle, Drapers and environs are currently without their regular water supply.
The National Water Commission apologizes for any inconvenience that may be caused and is assuring customers that every effort is being made to have water restored in the shortest possible time.
