“Cock Tales: Shame on Me!” the new play written and performed by the award- winning writer Debra Ehrhardt, also known for her  internationally acclaimed play “Jamaica Farewell,” is set for debut on Saturday Aug. 19 in Bronx, NY at Lehman College’s Lovinger Theater. The one-woman show is an 80- minute play based on true stories of up close and personal encounters with men from Ehrhardt’s past, she takes the audience on a journey to self-discovery and fulfillment. Illuminating a message that speaks across all platforms, the play – “Cock Tales: Shame on Me!” exposes the humorous edges of dating, marriage, guilt, sexuality, and insecurities faced by women daily.
Directed by Joel Zwick best known for his romantic comedy My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Viewers will be in for a night of laughter over a few cock tales- minus the drinks.  A story about guilt and insecurity turned in to bravery and womanhood. The anticipated play of the summer is living up to its expectations!! As Ehrhardt reflects on shame from past experiences, and expired beliefs about herself, the audiences will be in for a memorable evening of theatre. Nevertheless, it is through this journey that she finds her ability to love, and receive love the way she has always wanted. Ehrhardt’s profound moments in life, sets her free from judgement and her strict religious upbringing to finally reach her pinnacle of pleasure in love. She embraces new possibilities, women empowerment, sexuality, and gives herself the permission to be bold and unapologetic, as she encourages others to do the same.
