The Narcotics Police have charged two Jamaicans and one Haitian who were taken into custody by the JDF Coast Guard after they were found in possession of 762 lbs of compressed ganja in a boat off the coast of White House, Westmoreland on Wednesday, May 9. They charged are; Haitian National 39-year-old Guy Robert Joseph, farmer of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and Montpelier, Westmoreland. Orlando Sangster 39-year-old, fisherman of Barbary Hall, St. Elizabeth and 21-year-old Renaldo Seaton, labourer of Middle Quarters, St. Elizabeth both Jamaican National. For the offences of; Possession of Ganja Dealing in Ganja Taking Steps Preparatory to Export Ganja Use of Conveyance and Conspiracy Joseph was also charged with Illegal Entry, as investigations revealed he arrived in the island 10 years ago by boat, illegally. They are scheduled to appear before the Westmorland Parish Court on Tuesday, May 15. The estimated street value of the ganja is JM$3,048,000.00. Investigations continue.
