Jamaica’s small and medium sized companies are benefiting under the Jamaica 50 licensing and merchandising programme. Some of the Secretariat proud licensed partners include Image Matters,Jus Kool Collections, Sun Island Jamaica, Touchline Industries, J&E Industries Ltd, Stella Limited, O & MGlobal Trading, Worldwide Novelties, Design HQ Ltd and Jade Lee Investments.

“We made an effort given the short time frame to get a wide range of memorabilia t-shirts, pens, keyrings, tote bags, coffee mugs, water bottles, clocks, commemorative plates and more. There are also afew surprise items like the funky “50” sunglasses, the pop up watches and our “Pin of Pride” confirmsStephanie Campbell, License and Merchandise Manager at Jamaica 50.

“The license and merchandise programme has other highlights. One of them being the inspiring designwork being done with 2011 Edna Manley graduates to create the official Jamaica 50 shop at the JubileeVillage ”, she continues.

Efforts are being made to make available full range of Jamaica 50 collection through the outlets of ourproud retail partner Things Jamaican. Our other key retail partnership is with the Jamaica CulturalDevelopment Commission who are retailing Jamaica 50 keepsakes through their events and parishoffices island wide.

Jamaica’s Golden Jubilee is being celebrated 2012 with a designated period of celebration being August
1 – 6. A Golden Jubilee village is to be established at Independence Park and all parishes will have its
own Village that is to be linked via satellite for a 24-hour worldwide broadcast on August 5 and 6.
