Revenue protection division (RPD) nabs four persons.

Revenue Protection Division (RPD) Officers this morning took four persons into custody forquestioning regarding customs related and motor vehicle documents, including certificates of titleand blank insurance cover notes, which are suspected to be fraudulent.Investigations continue with the assistance of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), Flying Squad.

This follows the arrest of three persons in western Jamaica for similar offences.Members of the public are being advised that persons possessing or uttering fraudulent documentswill be liable for prosecution.Anyone with information concerning fraudulent activities at Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) or atJamaica Customs is being encouraged to contact the Revenue Protection Division atrpdinfo@mof.gov.jm , or 1 - 888 - 225 – 5773 (CALLRPD), for further information.
